Want to get Disney+ on your TV? If you live in a country that supports Disney+, you just need to go to your app store on your TV or on a device such as your Apple TV or Roku. And that’s pretty much it. Just download it once it’s available.
The situation is, however, not as clear when you want to get Disney+ on your TV outside of the US and locations where Disney Plus isn’t yet available such as in the UK or Ireland.
That’s because one of 3 essential steps for watching Disney+ is to use a VPN. And most smart TVs and devices such as Apple TV, Chromecast, and Roku don’t support VPN services at all, whether that’s our PrivateVPN service or any other VPN on the market.
There is a way to get Disney+ on your TV, though, and we’ll walk you through it in this guide. Matter of fact, we’ll walk you through how to get Disney+ in the first place too.
We already mentioned you need a VPN for this.
VPN services?
They allow you to change your location virtually.
In this instance, you need to be in the US, where Disney is supported.
However, it’s not quite as simple as just getting a VPN with servers in the US as most of them won’t work.
And that’s the case with most streaming platforms out there.
Why?
As platforms like Disney+ make efforts to prevent people from using VPN services. Meanwhile, most VPN services aren’t willing to invest in quality servers and instead focus on the quantity which sells better.
After all, who wants to buy a service with 200 servers if a different one has 3,000+ servers, right?

You either get an Android TV or you invest in one of those $24 Amazon Fire TV Stick devices which you connect to a TV as the Amazon TV range supports VPN services.
And of course, you’ll find PrivateVPN in the app store on the Fire TV.
After you do, connect to an American location that works with Hulu and ESPN+, and that will get Disney+ to work on your TV.
You do also need to make the Fire TV app store think that you are in the US.

Now, let’s get into account creation.
This is perhaps the most complicated step of this guide, but luckily you only have to go through it once.
To create a Disney+ account while connected to an American Disney Plus server, you need an American issued card.
Your options?
You could ask a friend to help you out or even to share an account.
It’s also worth trying to sing up with your current card too.
Most of us will have to get either a virtual or prepaid card issued in the US, on the internet. With some research on the internet, you should be able to find one that works.
The key is to have funds on it though. That way Disney can verify your card. It will refund it right after.
Disney Plus on your TV? It’s not hard if you have a Fire TV Stick.
If you don’t, get one. It’s great and will make your smart TV much smarter, and most importantly, will allow you to unblock streaming services on your TV.
