Want to watch Hulu Live TV in Mexico? You can. But you will need to trick Hulu into thinking you are in the US. And to bypass Hulu’s geo-payment issue to sign up for a Hulu account if you don’t already have one.
...And yes, this will also apply to standard Hulu...If you aren’t looking for Hulu Live TV.
Hulu Live TV? It’s not available in Mexico for a simple reason.
Hulu Live TV consists of 3rd party channels. These channels show content that they have rights to show in the US, but not necessarily outside of the US.
If Hulu can’t show them in Mexico, it has to make an effort to prevent people from Mexico from watching.
...The result? Hulu Live is not a thing in Mexico.
And the same applies to the standard Hulu.
Is that likely ever to change?
...Most likely not because the US is a huge market. With that said...Disney now owns Hulu, so you never know.
To make Hulu think you are in the US when in Mexico, you are going to have to be in the US, virtually.
That’s what VPN services are for.
People outside of the US use them all over the world to make it look like they are in the US.
Simply connect to an American server, and that’s it.
...At least in theory.
That’s because not every VPN service will unblock Hulu in Mexico. In fact, most won’t.
As Hulu makes efforts to prevent it.
And that’s where PrivateVPN comes in as a service with a focus on entertainment, meaning streaming services work, but more importantly, in this case, also as a service that focuses on getting its own hardware and servers, allowing for an enjoyable streaming experience. (Provided your internet is of sufficient quality.)
And that’s it as far as making Hulu think you are in the US.
...If you have a Hulu account already, that’s it for this guide. But if you don’t, then here’s how to create a Hulu Live account.⬇️
This is the part that most guides don’t mention.
...A part that is the hardest to get working if you don’t currently have a US-issued card.
Why? As Hulu also has a geo-payment block.
If your card isn’t American, you won’t be able to sign up.
The solution? There are a few, but by far the most straightforward one consists of signing up via the Hulu app on your phone.
...As Apple and Google handle payments on their own platform, and they don’t place the blocks that Hulu places.
The catch? You will need to change the region of your app store to download the Hulu app.
The first two steps will allow you to watch Hulu Live TV in Mexico, but they won’t allow you to watch it on a TV.
That’s because most smart TVs and platforms like Apple TV, Chromecast, and Roku don’t support VPN services.
Just got a Fire TV Stick? Make sure to sign up for a region in the US.
...But if you already have one and it’s not changed to the US, change your region to be in the US.
Here’s how to do it⬇️:
To sum up how to watch Hulu Live TV in Mexico:
...And by the way, tips shared in this guide work with almost all streaming services out there.
