Step 1

Click the Apple Logo and then select System Preferences.

 

Step 2

Proceed to Network.

 

Step 3

Click + to add a new VPN service profile.

 

Step 4

Set the Interface to VPN. Select L2TP over IPSec for VPN Type. Enter any name on Service Name. Click Create.

 

Step 5

Enter the following settings:

Server Address: se-sto.pvdata.host

*you'll find the server list here.

Account Name: (your PrivateVPN registered email)

Click on Authentication Settings...

 

Step 6

Password: (your password)

Shared Secret: privatvpn

*without the 'e'.

Click OK.

 

Step 7

Click Advanced...

 

Step 8

Tick Send all traffic over VPN Connection. Click OK.

 

Step 9

Click Apply and then click Connect.

 

Connection Success!
